Hello, welcome, if you've come this far, it's because you'd like to get to know me better.
I am Darla Santiago, Brazilian, born in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Since I was young, I have dreamed of working in the health field. In 2012, at the age of 22, I had the opportunity to make new interpersonal connections, which, through the secretary (or "Parisian"), clarified my abilities for the psychological field. These were reflective moments: in 2013, with my friend, we started our university projects, directing our academic ambitions.
In 2022, I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Centro Universitário Augusto Motta, directing my Final Course Work (TCC) to delve into the theme “Psychological Damage to Women Victims of Psychological Violence in Abusive Relationships”. Currently, I work in the area of clinical psychology in the states of RJ and São Paulo, using the approaches of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Systemic Therapy. My academic journey highlighted the relevance of directing specialized care to victims of domestic violence, whose implications are deeply intertwined with the area of mental health.
Since 2023, I have been working with patients who have faced extremely challenging situations, many of whom were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Social isolation led to an increase in the number of women and children who were victims of domestic violence; however, through therapy, they found strategies to give new meaning to their lives.
I always act guided by ethical values and I dedicate myself to carrying out the sessions with the utmost care. I like to emphasize my unconditional commitment to the services so that the psychotherapeutic process results in the evolution that benefits the health and psychological well-being of the patients.
